Superintendent Sherry Becker
About me: It is a privilege to serve as Superintendent of Southeast Island School District. I bring with me to Southeast Island School District, over 20 years of experience as an educator, serving seven of those years in the state of Alaska. I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree in Behavioral Sciences, and a Master of Arts degree in Special Education. Prior to becoming a Superintendent, I worked as an instructional aide, teacher, counselor, school administrator, district-wide administrator and as a college professor. Each of these experiences are essential to my role as a Superintendent and instructional leader. I will also serve as the Special Education Director for the Southeast Island School District. I live in Thorne Bay with my husband Charles Becker and our two dogs Molly and Bella.
