🎉 Exciting News from Thorne Bay School! 🍞❤️
Our amazing cafeteria team at Thorne Bay has started baking homemade whole grain dinner rolls and bread for student lunches — and let us tell you, they are a HUGE hit!
When we stopped by the cafeteria, students were all smiles, raving about how delicious the rolls were. Some even came back after lunch just to say thank you to our lead cook, Dee!
A big THANK YOU and shout-out to Dee and Jack, for the love and care they put into every meal. You're making a difference one warm, homemade roll at a time! 👩🍳👨🍳💛

Dear Thorne Bay and Kasaan Students, Staff, and Families,
We want to inform you about a planned power outage by APT that is scheduled for Wednesday, April 16, 2025. This outage will impact the areas of Thorne Bay, South Thorne Bay, Goose Creek, and Kasaan.
To accommodate this, school will start one hour later, at 9:00 AM instead of the usual 8:00 AM start time. Buses will also run one hour later than normal.
We will be offering a cold breakfast before the school day begins to make sure our students are well-fed and ready to learn.

School will still dismiss at the regular time of 3:30 PM.
After-school activities and drop-off times will not be affected.
Instructional staff, please adjust your schedules accordingly.
If you have any questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to reach out. Thank you for your understanding and flexibility as we navigate this planned outage.
